Mount Parker via Tai Tam Country Park and Mount Parker Road

Mount Parker, named after Admiral Sir William Parker, is the second-highest peak on Hong Kong Island at 532 meters. The hike to its summit primarily follows a forest trail, making it suitable for hazy or cloudy days.
Distance - 10km
Duration - 4 hours
Difficulty - 3/5 Intermediate
To start, take the MTR to Quarry Bay (Exit A) and walk 400 meters along King’s Road to Mount Parker Road, which is located before the Monster Building. Follow Mount Parker Road uphill to Quarry Gap, where you can find outdoor seating areas.
The lowest peak at 522 meters hosts a Secondary Surveillance Radar, while the middle peak at 524 meters has a larger Surveillance Radar. The actual summit at 532 meters can be reached via an unmarked trail next to the RSR station. This trail is a bit challenging, steep, and dense, rewarding hikers with beautiful views, including the Tai Tam Reservoir.
After enjoying the summit, descend carefully as the trail can be slick when wet. Follow the stairs by the RSR and continue along Mount Parker Road, which leads back to Quarry Bay in about 4.5 km. This route is straightforward and features lookout pavilions and points of interest like the Woodside Biodiversity Education Centre.
