She Leng | Snake Hill | Lok Ma Chau to Ma Tso Lung

The Snake Hill Trail is a beginner-friendly mountain path with a slight slope, offering a variety of vegetation and wildlife. Starting at Ha Wan Fisherman San Tsuen, we took bus B1 from Yuen Long MTR and got off at the stop.
Distance - 3.5km
Duration - 2 hours (Including rest & photos)
Difficulty - 2/5 Beginner to Intermediate
After crossing the road, we headed to Lok Ma Chau Lookout via Lok Ma Chau Path and Lok Ma Chau Garden, where we enjoyed views of Shenzhen. From there, we followed the sign near the Police Station to begin the trail up She Leng.
Be prepared for high sun exposure, as there's no shade. The trail alternates between dense grass and gravel. It takes about 45 minutes to reach Tit Hang Shan, where beautiful scenery awaits. You’ll then descend before ascending again to She Leng, which offers great views of Shenzhen and nearby fish ponds.
Continue along the trail past barbed wire fences and towards a small farm. Avoid private property and follow the path to the main road, where you can catch the minibus back to Sheung Shui MTR.
Overall, it's an easy hike suitable for beginners, with stunning views throughout.
